since many dont read when they sign up, never mind reading the rule spsoted on top of every forum, i'll say it here...
YOU MUST HAVE A BIRTHDAY IN YOUR PROFILE or the system will delete your account!
This is due to the coppa law, part of the child protection acts. Anyone under 13 cannot register on this site without written parental permission, those 13-17 must have aprental permission (which is agree'd to when you click I am over 13), and the birthday in your profile must be there, and say you are over 13 years of age, unless we have the signed parental consent form!
those who add a rediculous birthday making themselves 99 years old (for example) will also be deleted.
Anyone who lies about their age, and is really under 13, if we catch you (like posting your real age, or mentioning it in our chatrooms, the account will be deleted! (we have no choice in this).
member safety is a second priority on this site, the first being the safety or Kelly and those around her. Both are very close together, and neither is more important than the other. We do take it seriously.
Anyone who may be risking the safety of anyone else on this site (and on certain other sites we're affiliated with), they will be dealt with not only by our staff, but possibly with higher powers depending on the situation and the risk being dealt with.
Parents of younger members of this site are encouraged to contact the adminstration if they wish for more information, or a tour of the entire site, including behind the scenes of it's operation. We will verify that you are a parent of a young member of the site, which should not be a problem if you really are.
We also have various teachers on the site, and working professionals able to help memebrs of all ages with problems from homework, to every day fustrations. Our staff is always around to help and guide to the appropriate help one may need.
This site is not just a Kelly Clarkson community, it's a friendly community of people who care, and simply share a simular interest (and many share more than one interest). Some of our own staff have gotten various jobs from graphics design to radio dj's, have had jumps in school by learning about the music and entertainment industry and websites from working on this one, and they (and others in various fields) are always willing to share what they have learned and accomplished to help others do the same
Please dont be affraid to psot or use our chatrooms to ask our staff and others for help with anything, it's what they are here for!
Finally, not everyone will get along, there are a couple of thousand members in our database, that many people can't all get along. If you have a problem with another member, ignore them, if it's serious, or you feel it may become serious, let the staff know about it.
People come from all kinds of backgrounds, lifestyles, cultures, and on the itnernet, it's all combined together. We may not always agree with someone elses belief's or lifestyles, but on the other hand, they may not agree with yours either! and who's to say which is right? no one is! it all comes down to tolerance, and in most cases, if someone says somethign or does somethign you don't feel is appropriate, simply being nice and telling them, explaining why you dont think it's right, solves any problems that may occur (but there are situations when it doesn't, those should be reported).
