1. removed colored scrollbars throughout site as they only work with internet explorer, and tend to slow down pages
2. realigned sections on main page width fixed width's to avoid stack overflow errors in internet explorer (gotta love microsoft products!)
3. cleaned up php/html coding, placing more attributes into css and default javascripting for faster performance and smaller page sizes.
4. re-enabled hotlink protection on site used images, giving anyone who hotlinks to images a generic message of hotlinking where the iamge should be displaying.
5. converted all 5 site databases to utf-8 allowing for special charactor sets to be used and displayed without viewing garbled charactors.
6. site is ready for new theme based on new album (when released).
7. new forums installed and currently in testing on our server. if all goes well, they will be replacing the current forums before new years.
8. new member only and subscriber only sections of the website are isntalled. These area's will only be accessable to those who have created accounts on KCKellyville, or have a paid supporter subscription.
These area's will be added to our main menu as soon as the content is finished. There will be a series of upcoming staff meetings to decide on what the content will be.
Currently, pre-sale codes for Ticketmaster will be placed in the member only area for the next tour (providing Ticketmaster supplies us with one, we still can't garauntee it as the official fan club dfoes have an agreement on such things, and ticketmaster partially owns Echo, who runs the fan club).
9. Photo galleries have been cleaned out. Unfortunatly, they can only go so fast due to database size. They are operating much faster than previously, but really weren't designed to hold 80,000 images (40,000 pictures + 40,000 thumbnails).
10. new chatrooms running perfectly, and using less resources, and causing less lag (so far we've had close to 30 in at one time without any lag). The chat robots have been disabled due to their resource and memory consumption, but may be enabled again if we can tweak the bot enough to use less resources. The bots create over 5000 database requests per minute, causing a huge strain on the database and system. They also consume alot of memory and disk space as they learn as they chat, saving phrases to use later on in conversations. The bot is litterally artificial intellegance, and requires alot of 'food'.
