And in recent interviews, she's in total Stepford Wife robo-mode, downplaying (or outright denying) the My December fallout with all the Whitestrip-smiling, vacant-eyed, spin-controlling diplomacy of a Miss America contestant promoting world peace during a pageant interview segment. It's like all the fight has been beaten out of Kelly by the all-powerful record-label machine.
I kind of get the same vibe, but I really hope it's not true. I want her to be truly happy with this new album, and not forced by the record company. Like, who knows what goes on behind the scenes right?
