My e-mail is set to be hidden from the public, so why is it still visible?

I recently found out that my email is being shown on my profile and I want it to be hidden. I have the option to hide my email from the public checked off, but it's being shown still. I really need this to be fixed soon because I am not comfortable with this at all.

When you look at your profile you can still see it and staff members can see it. The general public that are logged in as members can't see it. Guests who are just visiting the site aren't able to acess your profile at all.
