We're trying to send a message to these people stealing and leaking music. It may not stop them, but it will get the point across that fans do support the artists, and want them to continue to produce the music the fans enjoy, not lose money because some selfish moron is taking advantage of the artists hard work, and stealing their personal property.
For everyone on twitter, and facebook, just keep tweeting #STOPTHELEAKS, and retweet when you see it!
Let's make our voices heard, and show everyone that the good fans are out here, and will no longer be outnumbered by the so called fans and idiots who only care about themselves!
Let others know about this as well, so all fans, of all artists, can join together for a change for a common problem hurting all artists and the industry itself. There's power in numbers, and it's about time we used that power for good!
For those not aware, Kelly had several unfinished demo's stolen, now slowely leaking on the internet, and certain people (banned on this forum, and other forums as well) are actually selling them (two illegal acts right there). These people are doing the same to other artists as well (Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, just to name a couple). For songs written for other artists, it means, they most likely won't be used or ever finished for release, and the artists loses all the potential royalties from that, as well as the money for the artist who would have released it. The record labels stop putting money into albums, singles, and video's, because it all gets shared for free, where they make no money to pay for promotion and such, therefor, you get nothing. Who suffers the most? the fans do! Prices go up to make up the differance, concert ticket prices go up for the same reason, all because a few people had to be greedy a-holes and ruin things for the true fans.
