i'm seeing quite a few posts on web sites pertaining,to this including the fanclub. this seems to be a genuine concern for quite a few people.

I just think it will be another Y2K type hoax. Just because the Mayan calander stops at 2012 doesn't mean any thing. The Mayan's did all die out you know and that is probably the reason why the calander stops...

Regardless of weather 2012 happens or not,I do think that come 2012,some nutjob,following in the footsteps of Charles Manson,will try to start some 'new religion' based on the 2012 prophesies. and sadly,some people will probably follow this person too. I think THAT is more of a danger than the actual prophesies themselves.
