Since people either dont read or choose to ignore the agreement they check OK to when they sign up, then wonder why their accounts were deleted.. I'll go through it once more..

In accordance with the COPPA LAW, no one under 13 years old may join this website without WRITTEN PARENTAL PERMISSION.

There is a form to print, and fax or mail back to us for this upon registration with the message boards.. New members have 3 weeks to send us back the completed form.

Anyone who changes their age in their profile to be under 13, or has no age at all, WILL HAVE THEIR ACCOUNTS DELETED.

Anyone who is under 13 and lies about their age saying they are older, then posts their real age being under 13 WILL BE DELETED.

This is not a rule we came up with, it is a FEDERAL LAW. Just because other sites may not obey it (and put themselves at legal risk), does not mean we ignore it as well.

The Coppa Law is a federal law, and part of the child protection acts, which is becoming very strongly enforced.

Wasn't too hard to ahve her sign the form and send it back, was it? no one else seems to want to.

Where can I find the form? I know of another 12 yr old who wants to register and asked if I can e-mail the form

when someone signs up and doesn't check off the OVER 13 box, a link to the form to print out shows.. it's the only time since it uses information from their new account to create the form with.

if someone is under 13, and has an older age int heir profile and has not posted they are udner 13, I don't want to know, we're covered that way as well.

It's when they have their age set to under 13, or post that they are under 13 when their profile says over 13 that we have to delete the account.

Accounts that remove the birthday completely also have to be deleted.

just guessing, she was probably a little amazed  website was doing that, and relieved that we watch out for younger members, unlike most sites.

Parents are always welcome to snoop around, we'll be hapyp to give them full access to even admin area's to have a look for their own piece of mind.

well im 17 my birthday is april 16 1990 so i dont have any problem LOL oh and about nine months more and ??ll be able to vote here in mexico yea!!!

thats good...because underage kids dont have a clue about all the bad things that are in the internet..

That's why they came up with the Coppa Law.
The law itself states no one under 13 may submit personal information legally for any reason without written parental permission. Personal information includes email addresses which are required for registration on message forums and sites.

good law if you ask me lol these days very young children got access to the net and it can be dangerous i guess
